Welcome to our Reception class page.
We have a very busy day every day and the children will have lots of fun in class.
Here is some important information to remember:
The class door is opened at 8.45 am and the register is then taken at 9am.
The end of the school day is at 3:15pm,? please be prompt when picking your child up as we don't want them getting distressed at home time - thank you!
All children are entitled to free milk until the end of the Reception year.
All children are also entitled to free school meals until they reach the end of Year 2.

Reading Books and Homework
Your child will be given a book bag in September so that they can use it weekly to bring home reading books and homework activities. Each week the children will bring home a decodable book matched to their reading level and a book from their reading level based on their interests. Book bags will be sent home every day to be returned the following day. Books will be changed twice a week on Tuesday and Friday. It is important for the children to practise their reading at home as this increases their confidence with reading and allows you to monitor their progress. Please write a comment in the home reading record each time you listen to them read.
Homework will be sent home every Friday to be returned to school the following Wednesday.
PE Kits
Our PE sessions will be on Mondays and Thursdays. Please can children come to school dressed in their PE kits on these days.
