Welcome to the new school year. The children in Class 8 have settled very quickly into the new classroom routines and have demonstrated their hard working abilities already. I just wanted to take this opportunity to share with you a few notices:
PE
The children will have two PE sessions a week. One with their mainstream year groups and one with Class 8. Class 8 PE will take place on Friday mornings. The children will now get changed in school and will not be wearing their PE kits all day during PE days, Please ensure your child’s PE kit is in school, they will be sent home at the end of each half term.
Homework
Reading
The children will come home with a reading book for homework. They will be expected to read 3 times each week and their reading record should be signed by an adult.
TTRS
All the children have logins for a TTRS account- children should be accessing and practicing their times tables each night for approximately 10-15 minutes
Spellings
The children will have spellings linked to their individual English sessions, they will be sent out each Friday and will be tested the following Friday.
Class Dojo:
This year, we will be using class dojo for rewards and communication. If you have not already signed up to this please can you provide me with an up to date email address, which I can send a connection request to.
